Imports of softwood logs to China lose 27% in November

In November 2022, the imports of softwood logs to China decreased 27% year-on-year to 2,772 thousand m3. According to Lesprom , the average price for softwood logs imported to China downed 4% compared to the previous month and amounted to $147 per m3. This is 15% less than a year ago when it was $172.

Imports of lumber to Japan decrease 36% in November

In November 2022, the imports of lumber to Japan lost 36% year-on-year to 292 thousand m3. According to Lesprom , the average price for lumber imported to Japan upped 1.1% compared to the previous month and amounted to $575 per m3. This is 17% less than a year ago when it was $696.

In November, price for lumber imported to China dips 0.1%

In November 2022, the average price for lumber imported to China slipped 0.1% compared to the previous month at $259 per m3.  This is 14% less than a year ago when it was $299. The imports of lumber from China contracted 6% year-on-year to 2,323.3 thousand m3 in November. Source:Lesprom
