 The United States exported 8.64 million metric tons of paper packaging and paperboard in 2020. The largest quantity of paper packaging and paperboard exported by the U.S. since 2000 was recorded in 2018, at 9.24 million metric tons. The United States was the largest exporter of paperboard and packaging paper worldwide.
