Dutch paper producer Crown Van Gelder has run into financial difficulties. The company has filed for bankruptcy with the responsible court of Noord-Holland.
The manufacturer of specialty papers for graphic and packaging applications Crown Van Gelder (CVG) has filed for bankruptcy with the District Court of Noord-Holland in Haarlem. The court opened the insolvency proceedings on 23 January.
Crown Van Gelder produces about 160,000 tpy of paper with about 200 employees. The company is considered one of the market leaders in high speed inkjet printing papers and also offers offset grades, label paper, packaging paper with barrier functions and specialities based on alternative raw materials.
