Due to a cyber attack during the night of 7 January 2022, the IT systems of the CPH Group worldwide were immediately shut down in a controlled manner. The necessary measures to protect the IT infrastructure were initiated.
cyber attack was perpetrated on the IT systems of the CPH Group. During the night of 7 January 2022, the CPH Group’s monitoring systems at the Perlen site detected an external attack. All of the Group’s IT systems were then immediately shut down in a controlled manner in accordance with the contingency plan. The internal security systems were deployed quickly and according to plan.
Production in the Paper and Packaging divisions in Perlen and Müllheim was stopped today as a precautionary measure, whereas the Chemistry Division is able to continue production.
Together with external cyber security specialists the IT systems are currently examined in depth in order to ensure a timely restart. The CPH Group has external backup systems which, according to current knowledge, have not been affected by the attack.
