One of the largest paper factories in Kazakhstan will be built this year in the North Kazakhstan region of the country, according to recent statements, made by head of the region Kumar Aksakalov.
The new factory will have the capacity to produce 5,000 tonnes of paper products per year, that will allow to almost completely meet the local needs in paper.
That will not be the only project in the Kazakh paper sector, that will be implemented this year. A couple of weeks ago a group of local investors announced their plans to build another large-scale plant for the production of paper products made from straw within the territory of the region.
The Kazakh government, from its side, has already promised investors to provide all the needed support during implementation of their projects. That will be primarily in the form tax, customs and other benefits and exemptions.
