US unbleached kraft linerboard exports declined 5% in October, from its total in September, according to the latest American Forest & Paper Association figures.
The US exported 380,000 tonnes of kraft linerboard in October, down from 400,000 tonnes in September. There also was one more calendar day in October than in September. Also, US box makers reported a pickup in domestic demand in October just as US mill operating rates dropped slightly down in October from a 99% rate in September.
