Pulp production in Russia remains stable this year despite the ongoing pandemic and its economic consequences, according to a recent report, published by the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
In accordance with the report, the volume of pulp production in Russia in Q1 of the current year fell by 0.1% on year-on-year basis to 2.2 million tons.
At the same time the production of paper and cardboard for the reporting period increased by 2.1% to 2.4 million tons, while boxes, including those made of corrugated paper or cardboard – by 21.4% to 1.6 billion square meters.
Finally, the production of wallpaper decreased by 17.7% to 42.7 million pieces.
