Romanian paper packaging to create new jobs

Romanian paper packaging maker Barleta is investing in expanding its production capacities, and plans to recruit new workers to raise its factory’s output, according to senior company representatives.

Barleta reported sales of RON 62 million (€13.5 million) for last year, a 19.2% increase compared with 2017, and in the first half of this year, it expanded its sales by a further 10%.

The company’s production facility in Bacau, Romania, is operated by a workforce of 243 employees, Florin Adrian Dimofte, a shareholder in Barleta, told local business daily Ziarul Financiar. As it is increasingly difficult to recruit skilled workers, the company is in talks with local education institutions to create classes that would train its future employees.
