Segezha Group considers sale of its packaging plants in Europe

Segezha Group is considering selling its European assets or forming joint ventures with a minority stake. According to Lesprom Network, the company has already received three offers from potential buyers, but the decision has not yet been made, explains Mikhail Shamolin, President of Segezha Group.

As an alternative, Segezha Group is considering the possibility of forming minority stake joint ventures based on Segezha Packaging assets.

Segezha Packaging has seven paper packaging plants located in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Romania. The total production capacity of these facilities is 769 million bags per year.

Segezha Group is a leading Russian vertically-integrated wood and paper holding company with a full cycle of logging and added-value wood processing.
