Sweden’s stock volumes of pulpwood are estimated to amount 3.9 million cubic metre as at September 30, 2018. It is 15% more when compared to the same period as last year. At the same time, the stock volumes of coniferous sawlogs amounted to 2.4 million cubic metre, which was 5% more than last year, Swedish Forest Agency reported.
As per assortment pulpwood stocks was: 2.5 million cubic metre of mixed coniferous, 0.5 million cubic metre of spruce and 0.8 million cubic metre of broadleaved species.
The stock volumes of pulpwood chips is estimated to have amounted to 0.7 million cubic metre, which is 6% more than the same time last year.
The total stocks of coniferous sawlogs, pulpwood and pulpwood chips were estimated to 7 million cubic metre as at 30 September 2018. This is 11% more than the same time in 2017.
