Equipment supplier Voith Paper is expecting Brazilian demand for new paper machines (PMs) and revamps to rebound in 2019, after two years of a sluggish market with several projects being put on hold. “Brazil has faced a deep economic turmoil and constant political instability. We have seen a president impeached, a former president arrested, and a nationwide strike promoted by truck drivers, so the industrial confidence was really shaken,” stated Voith Paper South America’s CEO Hjalmar Fugmann toPPI Latin America.
